Reading ProgramLanguage Blogs
TypeScript reading
The TypeScript sources for your secondary stack, kept deliberately small.
TypeScript carries your secondary stack: dashboards, bots and small tools. The reading list is short on purpose. Handbook once, drills, then one rotating blog.
Docs to read once
- The TypeScript Handbook: the official handbook, and unusually good for one.
- TypeScript for JavaScript Programmers: the fast path if you already know JavaScript.
Canonical
- Total TypeScript free tutorials, starting with Beginner's TypeScript. The best practical TS drills, and free.
- Dan Abramov: JSX Over The Wire: the current mental model for data flow.
- typescript-eslint docs: configure it once in your TS projects, and justify each rule you keep.
Rotating blogs
- overreacted.io: React and JavaScript reasoning at a depth that transfers to API client thinking.
- totaltypescript.com: Matt Pocock on TS patterns and news, weekly.
Why TS reading is secondary
TS never takes project sprint slots from Go. Its program is: Handbook once, then Total TypeScript drills, then one rotating post a week. That is the whole plan.
Common mistakes
- Following a full type-level programming series. You do not need it for dashboards.
- Turning on every eslint rule at once, then switching the linter off.
- Reading React content when the task is a Go project week.
